The bar drawing machine consists of rolling head, pre-straightening, drawing, straightening, shearing, and polishing.
1. Head rolling machine
The head rolling machine consists of two pairs of rollers with the same roll diameter and a series of variable-section rolling grooves. Two pairs of rollers are installed horizontally and vertically on the same frame. When making the chuck, the head of the bar is rolled thinly in two pairs of rollers in order to facilitate the penetration of the mold.
2. Pre-straightening device
The pre-straightening unit performs initial wire straightening for the wire fed up to the drawing die. There are three fixed rollers and two movable rollers on the machine base, which can adapt to the straightening of various specifications of bar stock. The purpose of pre-straightening is to straighten the coil material before entering the man-machine line because residual coil stress needs to be released before drawing.
3. Drawing mechanism
The main shaft coming out of the reducer is provided with two end cams (the same cams, the positions of which are different from each other by 180 °). The natural rotational action of the drawing FLANGE CAM is converted into a linear motion to drive the drawing carriage. The wire is gripped by the jaws in the carriage and pulled through the drawing dies.
4. Precision straightening machine
The straightening machine consists of 7 horizontal rollers and 6 vertical rollers to straighten the drawn bar. Bar exiting the draw dies is straightened through vertical and horizontal rollers.
5. Shearing mechanism
A multi-piece friction electromagnetic clutch and an end cam are arranged on the transmission shaft of the reducer, and a cutter for cutting is provided on the frame for the cut-to-length bar cutting. Flying Shearing units are available with shear type. Specification of the flying shear will depend on the type of wire processed.
6. Polishing machine
The bar enters the first pair of polishing discs through the guide plate 3, then passes through three straightening trumpets, and then enters the second pair of polishing discs. The polishing disc has a certain angle to make the bar rotate forward. The polishing speed must be greater than the drawing speed and straightening speed. The general polishing speed is 1.4 times the drawing speed.
